I am a 51 year old wife, teacher and mother of 2. I have a 21 year old son and a 25 year old daughter. New intro...I am sober and love it! It isn't always easy but it is always worth it!
Old intro...I am fighting this damn drug called alcohol. I have been a weekend binge drinker for 30 years. I binge 2-3 times a month on a Friday or Saturday, but alcohol kicks my butt every single day of my life. I am sick of it!

The weekend
Thursday - 1 beer, Friday - 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers, Saturday - one bottle of wine .... so what does that make the weekend count 10 drinks - not good! Needless to say exhausted and down today with only myself to blame.
Oh, K... I'm sorry to hear this. It does take a month or two for anti-depressants to work... perhaps you're expecting too much too soon. I might suggest, though, that the smartest thing would be to take a month or so off drinking to give medicine a chance to kick-in before you attempt moderation again.
I've been thinking of you this weekend...hang in there. Lulu
